Installation couldn't be more straightforward after downloading the app for trial or licensed use. The Spresso iVersionIt app installation package should be located in either the Downloads folder or on the Desktop.

Once installed, the app automatically assumes the features of the Decaf edition (yes, editions are named after coffee themes). You can think of the Decaf edition as a trial, but it is better than that. Decaf is not time-limited and supports basic versioning features. You can continue using the app at no cost if you are satisfied with Decaf’s basic feature set. (“Free forever” as we call it.)



Note: To use the more advanced feature editions (Americano, Espresso, or Cappuccino), you need to apply a feature level code file to the installed app. You will receive the code file when you purchase and license an edition. More about this can be found in Upgrading the app’s edition.


Installing Spresso iVersionIt on Windows

Installation should take about three minutes:

  1. Double-click the downloaded Spresso iVersionIt Installer package.
  2. In the User Account Control window, click Yes to allow the installation of Spresso iVersionIt Installer.exe.
  3. After reviewing the end user license agreement (EULA), click the I accept the agreement button in the installation window. Click Next to continue with the app installation.
  4. Continue clicking Next in the installation wizard windows. On the last installation window, click Install. The app is copied to the Windows Program Files folder.

Installing Spresso iVersionIt on macOS

Installation takes only about two minutes:

  1. Double-click the downloaded Spresso iVersionIt Installer package.
  2. In the installation windows, review the end user license agreement (EULA) and click Agree.
  3. In the Spresso iVersionIt installer window, drag the coffee cup labeled Spresso iVersionIt onto the Applications folder icon. The app is copied immediately.
